After an initial successful series of shows, Urbn Theatr takes "Wordwhore" by Tam Cy Albert to London , at the Etcetera Theatre, to be played on July 31st and August 1st & 2nd, as part of the Camden Fringe Festival of contemporary theatre. Urbn Theatr will furthermore cooperate with new cast and crew for the London performances.
"Wordwhore" was specially extended and revised for Urbn Theatr's production by its writer, Tam Cy Albert, following a creative invitation by the director, Ilias Panagiotakopoulos. "Wordwhore" was first presented by Urbn Theatr in Athens, at the "About:" cultural venue, during November - December 2012.
Often people will trip and fall. It takes, what? A split second? One minute you're in control and upright; the next minute all sense of balance has been lost. You face the void.
Within the interval the fall is, the silence preceding the fall and the silence following it- the before and the after- struggle, as it were, to become words. These silences obstinately seek to reach the ears of any random, potential spectator willing to spare some time to hear them. Besides, it's in the nature of the fall to have to juggle an uncertain future.
“Wordwhore”, an awarded play, boldly states things about life, as well as for the city and people living in who burn along with it without emitting smoke.
