The Ones at Arts Theatre, London

Urbn Theatr presents: “The Ones”
At: Arts Theatre, West End London (Above the Arts).
November 23, at 7:00.

The Ones is the result of an invitation by Room One Production Studios to Ilias Panagiotakopoulos, founder of Urbn Theatr to create new work.

This is the first public showing of work created during the Artist’s Residency program at Room One. Now the Arts Theatre gives Urbn Theatr the platform to present “The Ones” on their stage (Above the Arts Stage).

The Arts Theatre and Room One have kindly supported Urbn Theatr throughout this creative process.

Two people lost. The man believes that they are trapped in a box. The woman searches for a corner of her own.

‘Why can’t we communicate?’, the man asks.
‘Because we just keep talking’.

The line between real life and imagination is blurred when past and present, history and modernity convalesce as their story, or stories, unfold. There is a beginning and an end. But within this there is the struggle to forge a connection that everyone knows. This struggle is funny, painful and continuous. It is a sketch. It is a tale. It is a play. It is us.

Urbn Theatr returns to the London stage with a new project and loyal to the inflammatory nature of its work raises issues for review and undermines the force of modern society’s habits.

The Ones conceived and directed by Ilias Panagiotakopoulos, founder of Urbn Theatr and member of Lincoln Center Theatre director's Lab N.Y. and Theatre Works, Melbourne. The Ones has been created with assistance from Room One production studio.
