THE PROCESS

PEOPLE

The process.
A person arrives at our location, Roehampton Library Green and expresses an interest in participating.

They will be informed about the process by a member of Urbn Theatr.

They will sit down and have a headset and microphone placed on their head.
They will then be asked the question “Who are you?” and their answer will be recorded for one minute exactly.

The recordings will take place, be saved and played back through speakers on Roehampton Library Green during specific dates and times, while at the same time they will be available as display material to be listened to throughout the festival at Roehampton Library.

After the end of the festival recordings will be available on Roehampton’s Library computer system for people to access as they wish.

Note that:
  • This process will be open and free to everyone who wants to participate with his/her “identity”.
  • During the one minute recording process participants will have total privacy and will be in charge of their self-presentation. Participants will be free to express themselves as they wish within the confines of the law. Everything they say will be legally protected and will be used strictly for the purposes of the project, as described above.
  • There is provision for people with disabilities. Where necessary, a member of Urbn Theatr will be there to provide assistance so that all members of the community will have the opportunity to participate.
  • Anonymity will be highly guarded. It is entirely up to participants if they wish to use their names in their representations.
  • This is an Urbn Theatr artistic project and the information we gather will be used solely for artistic purposes.
  • ‘Re-engagement’ is a community project and has not been created to influence or canvass politically in anyway.
